Impact Going Live Update, Misplaced Heat On Salinas, TNA Looking To Sign Woman

sources: PWInsider.com, Wrestling Observer Newsletter

— TNA has had some discussions on Impact going live on a bi-weekly basis. The show would go live every other Thursday, and the taped Impact would tape every other Friday, to be aired the following week. This is being considered an “experiment” because the company as a whole has very little experience in live TV and their is concern that the shows only look as good as they do due to all the post-production work. TNA has tentative plans to do a live Impact on Thursday, March 27. The date would coincide with WrestleMania, as it’s only a few days before the event and it would give wrestling fans in the area a chance to experience the product. There is also talk that when the change is made, TNA will start taping their programming in High Definition.

— It was reported last week that TNA Knockout Shelly “Salinas” Martinez had some backstage heat on her from some of the male wrestlers over missing a recent swing of Texas-area house shows in which LAX appeared on. The wrestlers believed that there was a double-standard in that she was able to miss a house show tour over an autograph signing. However, according to TNA officials, there should really be no heat on her. Martinez was never booked on the house show tour in the first place.

— We don’t have her name yet, but TNA is looking to sign this African-American woman who is tall, muscular and has a great body, and is also a model. Apparently, this women tried out for American Gladiators, but didn’t make the cut.
