AEW FYTER FEST “BUY-IN” PRE-SHOW
Alright, the “Buy-In” pre-show for AEW Fyter Fest is now officially underway.

Best Friends vs. SCU vs. Private Party for shot at bye in AEW Tag Tourney
After a brief introduction from the announce team welcoming us live inside the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, we head straight to the ring for our first match of the evening.
Kicking off things inside the ring this evening will be the three-way tag-team match with ramifications in the upcoming AEW World Tag-Team Championship Tournament at stake. Competing in the match will be the teams of Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen), Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) and SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian).
The ring entrances are out of the way and now it’s time for action, as the bell sounds and the fans roar as we officially kick off the “Buy-In” pre-show here at AEW Fyter Fest.
We have a lot of high-impact, fast-paced offense from everyone involved early on. As things settle down, Private Party and Best Friends tag-team members are pretty much handling the action in the ring, keeping SCU out of the equation for the most part so far.
After some back-and-forth action, Chuck Taylor and Trent Berretta finally clean house of the other guys and as the crowd was hoping, they embraced with a big hug to a huge pop from the Daytona Beach crowd.
Finally, after being excluded from the match for so long, SCU gets involved as Frankie Kazarian gets the hot tag and is taking out any-and-everything that moves … in style. The crowd is eating up every spot, too.
We get a bunch of tag-team / double-team high-spots, some of which were really unique. At one point, there was a spot with a hurricanrana seated on the top rope, with him flying right down into an RKO / Diamond Cutter from his partner. After a few more double-team spots, we finally get to the finish, which sees Taylor and Beretta pick up the “W.”

After The Match: The Dark Order Returns
After the match, the Best Friends are in the ring celebrating when out of nowhere, the lights in the Ocean Center go out. When they come back on, The Dark Order is surrounding the ring in similar fashion to how they did at the AEW Double Or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas in May. The lights go out again and when they come back on, The Dark Order are simply gone.
Backstage: The Elite
Backstage, we see Nick and Matt Jackson goofing around some and having fun with what is apparently a documentary camera-crew that is on hand at AEW Fyter Fest tonight. Then, they show The Young Bucks running into Kenny Omega. They tease special ring gear for tonight but then explain why they are being forced to slice the budget for tonight in half. With that said, the models who were standing out at the entrance stage, are replaced by mannequins. The announcers joke about cost-cutting.
Leva Bates & Peter Avalon Promo Segment
After they replace some of the models with mannequins, out comes Leva Bates with a red notepad in her hand. She tells the crowd “Shhhhhh!” and then points to a tent that is set up. She opens the door and we see Peter Avalon sitting in it. They throw the tent into a kiddie swimming pool that is set up. Avalon knocks over and breaks a mannequin, which the crowd boos.
The announcers joke about Bates and Avalon being two of the people brought in by Cody in the search to crown AEW’s librarian. They lecture the crowd about reading. Bates says, “Knowledge is power!” and Avalon yells “POWAAAA!” similar to how Big E. says it for The New Day’s ring entrance.
Bates and Avalon introduce themselves one more time to the crowd and then shush each other back-and-forth until finally they are cut-off by the entrance music of Allie.
Leva Bates vs. Allie
The announcers tout this as the first-ever singles match in the women’s division in All Elite Wrestling as Allie makes her way to the ring. Leva Bates is obviously already in the ring. Our second match is now officially underway as the bell sounds to kick this one off.
They actually gave this one a decent little chunk of time considering how long the pre-match promo segment ran.
In the end, Bates hit a “Shhh!” DDT for a close near fall, but after a distraction from Peter Avalon and his red notebook, Allie managed to hit her finisher and score the victory over Leva Bates to pick up the win in the first-ever AEW women’s singles match. The announcers put over her upcoming match against Brandi Rhodes.

Backstage: EVP Kenny Omega Still Running Around
Backstage we see Kenny Omega, still in his EVP role, trying to put the finishing touches on tonight’s show. He mets with a production crew member who tells him that the band for tonight, Blink 182, has cancelled. Whether or not this is part of the budget cut-backs mentioned earlier, or just a segment to put over how freakishly busy the top AEW wrestler / AEW EVPs are, particularly the night of a big match / big event.
Michael Nakazawa vs. Alex Jebailey (Hardcore Match)
Now it’s time for Hardcore Rules action.
Michael Nakazawa makes his way to the ring for our third and final match here on the “Buy-In” pre-show. Out next is the organizaer of the CEO Gaming company, Alex Jebailey. The announcers joke about this being the one example of nepotism from CEO Gaming, and point out that Jebailey isn’t even really a wrestler. They joke about him also getting pyro for his ring entrance tonight.
After he makes his way to the ring, Michael Nakazawa gets on the mic and cuts a broken-English promo. He congratulates Jebailey on his injured right leg getting better. Jebailey tells him it was his left leg. Nakazawa thanks him and starts kicking away at Jebailey’s left leg.
Finally, Jebailey gets some offense in and the crowd is actually getting behind him. They cheer when he hits a move and there is a “CEO! CEO!” chant spreading throughout the Ocean Center slowly but surely.
While locked in a hold, Nakazawa squirts a bunch of baby oil to slip out. This leads to he, Jebailey and even the referee slipping all over the place. The action heads out of the ring and out to the floor now.
Actor Justin Long gives Jebailey a fight stick to use as a weapon. He obliges. Now they fight up to the kiddie pool near the top of the entrance ramp that was featured prior to the last match. Jebailey is trying to drown Nakazawa in the water. Now they are hitting each other with blow-up pool toys. Jebailey bodyslams Nakazawa into the water in the kiddie pool, which leads to a hilarious “Holy sh*t! Holy sh*t!” chant, as if it were the most hardcore spot ever witnessed.
The action heads back to ringside, where Jebailey starts grabbing some weapons from under the ring. He grabs a video game controller and sets up a table outside the ring. He goes to the ring apron, where Nakazawa meets him with a shot to the face with the aforementioned video game controller. Now he chokes him with the controller cord. He bites at the face of Jebailey now. Nakazawa hits the ropes and dives, blasting Jebailey with a spear that sends them crashing through the table on the floor that Jebailey set up moments ago.
Nakazawa rolls Jebailey back into the ring and covers him, but pulls his shoulder up for him to stop the count at two to deliver some more punishment. He smirks with an evil look on his face. He starts blasting Jebailey with a Kendo stick. Jebailey recovers and hits a German Suplex on Nakazawa, dropping him on the top of his dome.
Jebailey goes under the ring for a special CEO bag. He dumps out what I believe the announcers refer to as custom “push-buttons?” They look like little toys, I don’t know. Jebailey hits a back body-drop on Nakazawa, who lands on the pile of “push-buttons” as if they were a bag of Mick Foley’s trademark thumbtacks. The announcers joke about how much it hurts to step on those little push-button toys when they’re laying around the house.
Jebailey goes for a special cradle pin attempt but the referee, distracted, doesn’t get down to make the count on time. Nakazawa reverses the pin into one of his own, holding Jebailey with a thong of some kind. The announcers are having a field day with more jokes after the finish.

“Buy-In” Pre-Show Wraps Up, It’s Time For AEW Fyter Fest
After the match, Nakazawa celebrates a bit as Jebailey looks on in disbelief. The announcers do a few more jokes and then the ring announcer introduces us to the third member of the announce team for tonight’s show.
Jim Ross Joins Commentary Team At The Announce Table
With that said, WWE Hall Of Famer and AEW play-by-play announcer Jim Ross makes his way down to the ring as his Oklahoma Sooners “Boomer Sooner” theme song plays and the fans inside the Ocean Center give him a deserved warm reception.
Jim Ross dusts off his pipes and gets us ready for tonight’s main show.
Jon Moxley Wraps Up “Buy-In” Pre-Show With Backstage Promo
From there, we cut to a backstage promo from Jon Moxley.
Moxley talks briefly, concluding by saying, “If you don’t know who or what Jon Moxley is all about? You’re about to find out …”
Moxley makes his AEW promotional in-ring debut tonight against Joey Janela in one of several featured matches at AEW Fyter Fest, which begins streaming on B/R Live right … NOW!

AEW FYTER FEST RESULTS
With that said the “Buy-In” pre-show cuts to black and the opening video package for AEW Fyter Fest begins to kick off the main card for tonight’s special event. The announce team of Jim Ross, Alex Marvez and The Excalibur welcome us to the show and run down some of what fans can expect this evening here at AEW Fyter Fest.
After that, we head to the squared circle for our first main card match of the evening.
Christopher Daniels vs. CIMA
Kicking things off inside the ring for the AEW Fyter Fest main card here at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida tonight will be a one-on-one showdown pitting SoCal Uncensored (SCU) member Christopher Daniels against CIMA.
Each guy makes his respective walk to the ring. The ring announcer wraps up his pre-match introductions and the bell sounds to kick off the action inside the ring here at AEW Fyter Fest. Daniels and CIMA shake hands before they lock-up to start the contest. Here we go. Stay tuned …
These two trade offensive spurts early on. Things pick up when Daniels hits a Blue Thunder Bomb and an Angel’s Wings Suplex on CIMA for a close, believable near fall pin attempt at about the eight-minute mark of the match.
CIMA comes back with a running powerbomb and then executed a Michinoku Drive-style move for a believable near fall of his own about one minute later.
Finally, he follows up his own near fall by going up to the top rope. He comes flying off with a Double Knee Press onto a grounded Daniels. He covers him and gets the 1-2-3 for the clean pin fall victory.
After the match, we see some highlights as the announcers put over CIMA’s victory, and promote his upcoming one-on-one showdown against Kenny Omega at the AEW Fight For The Fallen event in Jacksonville, Florida in a couple weeks.
Winner: CIMA
Nyla Rose vs. Yuka Sakazaki vs. Riho
It’s time for Women’s Three-Way action, as Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki and Riho each make their respective walks to the ring for our lone main card women’s bout of the evening.
The bell rings after the formal pre-match introductions are wrapped up. Sakazaki and Riho shake hands before the match begins. Rose shook hands with one and then attacked the other to get the action underway inside the ring. Moments later, she performs a double camel-clutch for a cool early spot.
As the action continues, Rose presses Sakazaki over her head and throws her at Riho. Sakazaki end sup coming back with a sloppy hurracanrana that sends Rose out to the floor outside of the ring where Riho still remains after the previous spot.
Sakazaki ends up going to the middle rope for a high-spot. She dives onto both ladies on the floor and takes them both out as the fans pop.
In a high spot of her own, Nyla Rose leaped to the top rope and came flying off with a diving knee to Riho, which prompts the first legitimate “Holy Sh*t! Holy Sh*t!” chant of the night (the light, comedic chant during the “Hardcore Match” betweeen Nakazawa and Jebailey doesn’t count!).
The finish in this one sees Rose hit Riho with a Beast Bomb, but out of nowhere, Riho rolled all the way through and held onto the big gal for the full 1-2-3 count and the win.
Winner: Riho
After The Match: Riho Turns On Yuka Sakazaki
After the match, Rose tried to attack Riho, however Sakazaki made the save. For whatever reason, Riho then shoves Sakazaki down to her butt and walks off on her own.
Hangman Page vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. MJF vs. Jungle Boy
Following the Women’s Three-Way match, Kip Sabian makes his way down to ringside to join Jim Ross, Goldenboy and The Excalibur on commentary for our next match of the evening. He will face the winner of the next match in one-on-one action at the upcoming AEW Fight For The Fallen event in Jacksonville, Florida in a couple weeks.
Back in the ring, it’s time to get ready for our Four-Way Match of the show. AEW World Championship number one contender Hangman Page, who meets Chris Jericho in the first-ever AEW World Championship match at AEW ALL OUT in Chicago, Illinois next month, makes his way to the ring, as does Jimmy Havoc, MJF and Jungle Boy.
Prior to the match getting started, MJF cut a pre-match promo to get some heat on himself. He mocks video game fans, calling them virgins with no lives, etc. Basically, taking a page out of former interim UFC Welterweight Champion Colby Covington’s promo-playbook.
MJF tries to avoid any physicality in this one, as he tries to take a hike to the backstage area before things get started.
Hangman Page wasn’t having it.
The AEW World Championship contender went flying over the top rope, taking out MJF outside the ring in the process. Jungle Boy then went for a cannonball moonsault, but his foot got stuck on the top rope. Somehow, in mid-leap, he managed to complete the move regardless.
Hangman Page and Jimmy Havoc hit a Stack-Up Superplex on Jungle Boy, with Jungle Boy blasting MJF in the head with a kick on his way down. The crowd dug that spot.
When the smoke clears later in the match, Hangman Page and MJF are left alone to square off with each other in the middle of the ring. The two exchange blows, with MJF getting the better of things after hitting Page with a chop-block.
MJF goes to lock Hangman Page up in the Sharpshooter, however he avoids it and reverses MJF into a Sharpshooter of his own. Luchasaurus stops Jungle Boy from taking a big bump on the floor. This leads to Havoc giving him a Death Valley Driver onto Luchasaurus. Havoc tries a few times to connect with an Acid Rainmaker, but to no avail.
Hangman Page blasts Havoc out of nowhere with a Buckshot Lariat. He follows up with a Deadeye and then covers him for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Hangman Page
Cody vs. Darby Allin
It’s time for our first of three featured matches this evening here at AEW Fyter Fest.
The pre-match video package airs promoting our next contest in the ring, which will be a one-on-one showdown pitting Cody against Darby Allin.
We return live and out comes Darby Allin. He drags a body-bag with Cody’s name on it with him as he makes his way down to the ring. The body-bag reads, “Cody 1-1,” which refers to Cody’s record inside the ring in AEW after their match tonight. He promised in a pre-match video to make a name for himself tonight at AEW Fyter Fest.
Out next is his opponent, Cody. No throne-demolishing or symbolic WWE-shots or anything like that for Cody this time out. The formal pre-match introductions are now complete and here we go.
Both guys trade some offensive spurts early on. Things pick up after a few minutes when Cody whips Allin into the corner, sending Allin through the ropes and bumping out to the floor outside of the ring. Cody did some push-ups in the ring.
Back in the ring, the action continues with Cody in offensive control as the announcers sell the fact that Allin is no stranger to pain. Cody appears to be focusing his attack on the knee of Allin. Allin fights back, smashing Cody’s hand into the ring post with authority. Cody takes back over control of the offensive lead now, selling his hand injury all-the-while.
Allin now fighting back and making his comeback. He is focusing his attack on the injured hand of Cody, with all kinds of creative and effective moves and attacks.
As the time-limit starts to become an issue, as we are alerted that only two minutes remain in the match, Cody puts Allin in the body-bag he brought to the ring himself during his pre-match ring entrance. He zips it up and hits a Beautiful Disaster Kick for a close two count. The last minute of regulation sees Cody take his belt off and whip the crap out of Allin with it. Allin hit an over-the-top Stunner and Cody hit a Cross Rhodes just as the bell sounded, signifying the time limit.
Winner: Time-Limit Draw
After The Match: Cody Demands 5 More Minutes
After regulation ends, Cody and Brandi demand five more minutes to finish the job and get the win the proper way. Before that can happen, however, Shawn Spears (aka former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger) hits the ring and blasts Cody with an unprotected steel chair shot that caught him in the back of the head.
Cody is bleeding from the back of his head. MJF and SoCal Uncensored hit the ring to offer their support to Cody after Spears leaves. Replays show Cody had just turned his head at the last second before the chair made contact with him, which is how the back of his head took the blow, resulting in the bloodshed. The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs. Lucha Bro & Laredo Kid
Our second of three featured contests is up next, as it is time for our six-man tag-team co-main event. Because this match is the last “regulated” bout on the show, with the Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela contest being an “unsanctioned match,” it will go on second-to-last.
The pre-match video package airs showing the build-up to tonight’s match, which features Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) teaming up to take on the trio of the Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix) and Laredo Kid. Remember, The Elite have been teasing special ring gear and/or a costly ring entrance for their match tonight.
The Lucha Bros and Laredo Kid make their walks down to the ring first, clearly setting the stage for some kind of cool ring entrance here for the baby faces.
Out next is The Young Bucks. Nick and Matt Jackson make their way out in Street Fighter video game attire, which the video game-friendly audience inside the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach for tonight’s co-promoted event with CEO Fighting Game Championships definitely appreciated.
After they came out, it was time for Kenny Omega’s ring entrance. The lights go out. A guy runs on stage and does a hand gesture like a machine gun, or something like that. When the lights come back on, Omega makes his entrance sporting red hair and a Japanese symbol on his back. The dude who ran on stage is laid out. The announcers talk-up the Street Fighter theme to The Elite’s ring entrance tonight. They tell the ring announcer to say “Round 1 — FIGHT!” The match begins and this one doesn’t take long at all to get extremely entertaining.
The match starts off as a traditional six-man tag, but in about a minute, things go bonkers and this quickly turns into a wild six-man contest with action going on everywhere.
Matt hits a series of rolling Northern Lights Suplexes on all three guys, and did one at the same time to both Fenix and Pentagon at one point. Wow.
Laredo hits a top rope crossbody, but Omega countered with a beautiful dropkick. Fenix tries going for a flat-back bump off of the ring apron, however he quickly realized he had to readjust before he slammed his head on the guard rail.
The Elite use an Asai Moonsault, followed by a top-rope elbow smash and a Swanton for a close two-count on Laredo Kid. Matt then hit a running Canadian Destroyer on Pentagon Jr. Unbelievable.
There are super-kicks being landed one-after-the-other all over the place right now. We see another Canadian Destroyer. The Elite use three Hadouken’s on The Lucha Bros and Laredo Kid. Crazy.
This all leads to a bunch of additional high-spots, including Nick Jackson hitting a 450 Splash on Fenix and Laredo Kid, who were being held waiting for him hanging off of the ring ropes.
We see some more dives and a few cutters leads to Rey Fenix hitting a Spanish Fly to Nick off the top rope and out to the floor, where Pentagon Jr. catches them. Omega then hits a Tiger Driver to Laredo Kid for another close near fall.
Omega continues to go for the finish, and he finally gets it after multiple V-Triggers and a One-Winged Angel to Laredo Kid for the pin fall victory in what was just an absolutely thrilling six-man tag-team contest.
Winners: The Elite
Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela (Unsanctioned Match)
With everything in the rear-view mirror at this point, all that remains is the lights out, “unsanctioned match” featuring the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in-ring debut of former WWE Superstar and member of The Shield, Dean Ambrose, as Jon Moxley, as he faces Joey Janela in our next and final contest here at AEW Fyter Fest.
Out comes Moxley after a pre-match video package wearing long pants and combat style boots. Janela is in his regular wrestling ring gear. The “unsanctioned bout” gets underway.
Early on, a table is set up near the ringside area. Janela uses a fan’s prosthetic leg as a weapon to attack Moxley with at one point. Back in the ring, Moxley slams Janela on a steel chair.
Moxley has a cut oer his right eye. He takes back the offensive lead in the fight after Janela misses a big spot and crashes and burns on a steel chair for his efforts.
Out of the ring, Moxley goes underneath the squared circle to find some more weapons to use. He pulls out a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. It also had bloody tissues stuck to it, which Moxley plucked off before using. He blasts Janela with the chair as the fans react by chanting “You Sick F*ck! You Sick F*ck!” at Moxley, who proudly takes a bow to acknowledge the creative chant from the fans inside the Ocean Center.
Janela starts fighting back. He slams and back-body-drops Moxley on the barbed wire chair. Moxley comes up with a bloody back. We move onto another big spot, as Moxley hits a Russian Leg Sweep that sends both he and Janela crashing through the table that was set up at ringside early in the match.
The action finally resumes back in the ring, where Moxley drives Janela through another table that was set up in the corner of the ring. Janela, in pain, flips off Moxley while selling. Moxley smirks and gives him a D-Generation X-style crotch-chop. He starts blasting Janela with punches.
Now Moxley goes under the ring and pulls out a board wrapped in barbed wire and slides it into the ring. Both guys tease going through the barbed wire-wrapped board. Ultimately, Janela slams Moxley through it and then pins him for a close near fall.
Following another search for weapons under the ring, a ladder is now at play inside the squared circle, to the delight of the fans in attendance in Daytona Beach. The action spills back out to the floor. Janela slams Moxley face-first onto the ring steps before laying him on two tables that are set up outside the ring.
Janela re-enters the ring, climbs the ropes, then climbs the ladder before leaping off and blasting Moxley with a flying elbow smash that put him through one of the two tables set up outside of the ring on the hard floor. A “Holy Sh*t! Holy Sh*t!” chant breaks out afterwards.
Finally, we get to the thumbtacks. No, this wasn’t “push-button toys” like the “Hardcore Match” we saw on the “Buy-In” pre-show between Alex Jebailey and Michael Nakazawa earlier tonight. This was real-deal, thumbtacks-stuck-in-flesh tacks. Moxley ends up taking off Janela’s shoes and socks, leading to many thumbtacks getting stuck in his bare feet. Ouch! The finish comes shortly after, when Moxley hits his double underhook Impaler DDT for the win.
Winner: Jon Moxley
After The Match: Kenny Omega Attacks
Following the victory, Moxley finds himself the victim of a post-match attack from Kenny Omega. Omega hit the ring and returned the favor that Moxley gave him at the end of his tough loss to Chris Jericho at the AEW Double Or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas last month.
Omega blasts Moxley with a running V-Trigger. He follows that up with a double foot-stomp on the floor for good measure. Then, he drags him over to the band stand. He grabs the drum sticks and does a solo on Moxley’s bloodied up back before smashing an electric guitar over Moxley’s dome.
Several officials attempt to help Moxley out, however Moxley refuses their assistance and shoves them away. Omega, who appeared to be done, comes rushing back with a trash can to continue the beat down on Moxley. Finally, Omega is satisfied with his beatdown of Moxley.
AEW Fyter Fest goes off of the air with Jon Moxley wearing a sadistic smile on his face as the cameras close in tight on his seemingly pleased facial expression. Check out a photo of Moxley’s facial expression that closed out AEW Fyter Fest by clicking here.
