Shayna Baszler Signs With WWE

Squared Circle Sirens has reported that Mae Young Classic finalist Shayna Baszler has officially signed with the WWE. Despite being in the finals of the Mae Young Classic and appeared at NXT events leading up to the finals, it is not until now that she has put pen to paper officially.
As was pointed out during the MWC Baszler has an MMA background with a pro record of 15-11 through various companies. She is trained in Muay Thai and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. She been involved with pro wrestling since 2015 and previously tried out for the WWE last year. She took part in the Mae Young Classic, but much of her spotlight was used to push Rhonda Rousey’s involvement.
There had been rumors that the proposed Horsewomen of MMA vs Horsewomen of WWE feud that had been pushed during the MYC was shelved since Rousy or Baszler were not signed with the company at that point. With Baszler making it official, it is to wonder if the company would try to get Rousey signed or not.
