Almas recently attacked Black backstage during a recent episode of NXT, so Black definitely had a reason to be vengeful last night. Despite the fact that the match saw interference from Almas’ business associate, Zelina Vega, several times, Black was able to pin Almas and capture the NXT Championship for the first time ever in his career after he hit the Black Mass kick on his opponent. Aleister Black’s win last night has now made him the thirteenth man in NXT history to win the prestigious NXT Championship.

WrestleMania will be taking place later tonight at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and in addition to all of the shows and events that WWE put on over the course of this weekend, numerous other promotions and wrestling-themed events have been taking place in the city of New Orleans. WrestleCon, which is an annual convention wherein fans are granted the opportunity to meet with several of their favorite professional wrestlers, is one of the biggest events that has been going on in Louisiana over the past few days. It now appears that an unusual incident between Harry Smith and Jake “The Snake” Roberts may have taken place during a recent WrestleCon session.
It is being reported by PWInsider that a strange incident involving professional wrestler Harry Smith and WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts occurred at WrestleCon yesterday. Fans in attendance claim that Smith walked up to Roberts while he was signing autographs and threw a cup of hot coffee onto him without saying a single word. Security separated the men before the issues could escalate, but Smith apparently left the convention before police could speak with him. WrestleZone later reported that Smith had told them that he threw coffee in Jake’s face because he made negative comments about his late father, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, in various interviews. Smith also claimed that Roberts refused to peacefully discuss the matter with him and that his daughter attempted to fight him.
