Stars React to Anderson’s Release, Dar Joins NXT UK, Flair Party

WWE announced the releases of Hideo Itami, TJP, and Tye Dillinger earlier today. Although those onscreen talents are no longer part of the company, one other figure in WWE who is usually not seen on camera was let go this week. WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson was released after spending years working for WWE as a backstage producer. Although the details on why Anderson was suddenly released still remain scarce at the moment, several members of the Raw and SmackDown roster have reacted to the departure online. Cody Rhodes sent out a tweet wherein he praised Anderson for his passion for the business while SmackDown Superstar Rusev later followed suit. Hopefully, more news on Anderson’s release will be provided soon.

Love AA. I stole all of his catchphrases & use them on a daily basis. He went to bat for young talent & at the same time is essentially responsible for all of the current top guys & “golden circle”. He’s not corporate, but that’s a compliment. Can’t take wrestlers outta wrestling

Thank you AA for teaching me and letting me sit under the learning tree. #ArnAnderson

Noam Dar currently competes on NXT UK and on the 205 Live show. Dar was initially made an exclusive member of the cruiserweight division after signing with WWE, but lately, he has been making more and more appearances on the UK show instead of 205 Live. It appears now that WWE has recognized this and has decided to move the “Scottish Supernova” over to the NXT UK roster permanently. PWInsider was first to break the news, and Dar is even moving back to Europe as part of the transition over to NXT UK. It was noted in the report that Dar has not completed the move just yet and will likely continue to make a few more appearances on 205 Live at least until he has finished moving out of America.
On Raw this Monday night, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be appearing on the show to take part in a segment celebrating his 70th birthday. Most fans have assumed that this will merely serve as an angle of some sort involving Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey. Although there is a good chance that his party could be crashed on Monday, Flair celebrated his birthday in style yesterday. A huge surprise birthday celebration was thrown for Flair in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday. Photos taken from the party show just how extravagant the whole ordeal was. The likes of Triple H, Shane McMahon, Evander Holyfield, Dennis Rodman, and more were even included on the guest list for the party.

I thought Ric was going to die two years ago when he was in intensive care in Atlanta. We’re celebrating his 70th birthday tonight in Atlanta. pic.twitter.com/MtYR3ZRI1u
