The Sept. 23 episode of WWE Raw, billed as the “season finale,” drew a 1.69 rating, up from last week’s 1.64 rating, and below the ten-week rolling average headed into this week of 1.78.
The first hour drew 2.372 million viewers, the second hour 2.213 million viewers, and the third hour drew 2.044 million viewers. That’s a drop of 328,000 viewers from the first to third hour.
Raw drew a 1.64 one year ago, only the second time a 2019 rating beat a 2019 rating, and the other time was opposite of the special addition of Raw with Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.
Raw went up against a weak edition of Monday Night Football, a lopsided win for the Chicago Bears over the Washington Redskins. The game drew a 3.7 key demo rating, down from last week’s 4.1 key demo rating. In the key 18-49 adult demo, Raw’s three hours finished in slots 4, 5, and 6 with ratings of 0.8, 0.8, and 0.7. The NFL game, pre-game, and post-game occupied the top three slots in the Monday night key demo rankings with ratings of 3.7, 1.8, and 1.1.
