25 year old Argentinian winger Marcos Acuña is interested in a move to Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille, according to sources contacted by Get French Football News.
Talks occurred between Marseille and Acuña last month, with both sides seeking to see if their was considerable interest for a possible deal to occur in January.

The outcome of these discussions was very positive for Marseille should they want the player, with Acuña very interested in joining the French outfit if they were to make a move for him.
That is exactly the problem. Acuña featured on Marseille Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarreta’s shortlist but manager Rudi Garcia is not interested in signing the player at the time of writing.
Any possible deal would be complicated by the fact that Racing Club manager Diego Cocca does not want to let the player leave until the summer and Acuña is only partially owned by Racing Club, with the rest of the player’s transfer rights still controlled by his former club Ferro Carril Oeste, according to Lucarne Opposée’s Rodolphe Wilhelm.
Acuña, who is not a priority for Marseille, despite initial talks, is really interested in joining McCourt’s project.
No formal offer has been made for the player.
