Christophe Galtier: “We were a team of tourists”

In speaking after his OGC Nice side’s 3-0 loss at Lens, despite having played much of the game with a man’s advantage, Christophe Galtier reacted angry, calling his team “tourists”. The current Ligue 1 champion coach told journalists:

“I will try to explain the inexplicable to you. In the second half, none of my players made a defensive effort. We were beaten by a team with more heart. The second half display should put our heads right… Lens played a team of tourists. This defeat must give us more humility, Lens exposed our lack of humility.”
