mobanmarketEAST WINDSOR, CT — The latest installment of this periodic informal series, highlighting businesses from East Windsor’s past and what those locations look like today, brings us back to what was formerly one of the busiest banquet halls in Connecticut: La Renaissance.
Prior to La Renaissance, the venue at 53-59 Prospect Hill Road was home to the Chateau de Ville, a dinner theatre which featured entertainment stars of the 1970s, including Phyllis Diller and Wayne Newton. Upon conversion into La Renaissance, the site became a popular location for weddings, high school proms and special shows.
La Renaissance closed abruptly in early 2013, and in late 2015, the property, including 8.15 acres of land, was purchased for $1.45 million by the Crossroads Community Cathedral of East Hartford.
