Sofiane Boufal’s agent to meet with Chelsea, Arsenal & Southampton

According to the reliably informed Ed Aarons of The Guardian, Sofiane Boufal’s representatives are set to meet with Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton this week as they consider their options for this summer transfer window.

Lille seem to accept the reality of the situation that they will end up selling the Moroccan international this summer, but are hoping for around €30m in total from any deal.

One of Boufal’s representatives, Yvan Le Mee, met with Barcelona recently to discuss the availability of his client.

At the moment, it is not believed that any side has submitted a formal offer for Boufal, but Southampton and Chelsea seem most eager to do so at the time of writing.

The Chelsea recruitment team are particular fans of the player and incoming manager Antonio Conte has already given the go-ahead to pursue him.

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is said to be meeting with a host of French agents this week to discuss the futures of various players.

Claude Puel will be well aware of Sofiane Boufal’s talents if he is to be appointed as Southampton’s new boss, but he will also be aware of the player’s rather unfortunate attitude problems and that may weigh on his mind in the coming days.
