What led to the early morning bar violence?

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events unfolded at 2:06 a.m. on Monday:

An officer working a special assignment detail at Anthony’s Restaurant and Pub, 3151 Voyager Lane, saw people fighting. After intervening to stop the fight, the officer gave commands to everyone to leave the premises as it was closing time for the business.

It is believed that Barillas ignored the commands and further attempted to fight others in the parking lot. The officer attempted to place Barillas into custody at which time Nieves attempted to interfere with the arrest. The officer was then able to place both Barillas and Nieves into custody. Iniguez refused to leave when advised by Anthony’s security and he was placed into custody without incident as well.
