Cardoso, who joined Les Canaris from Rio Ave this summer, acquired 6 points in 8 matches at the head of the club, an outcome that sees Nantes sitting 19th in the Ligue 1 table.
66-year-old Vahid Halilhodzic has a rich playing history in Ligue 1 and especially at Nantes, where he became the club’s 3rd highest scorer in its existence.
Vahid Halilhodzic’s last job came as head of the Japanese national team, a role he sensationally quit before the 2018 World Cup. He has signed a deal until 2020.
