Having banished him to the reserves initially after refusing to a sign a contract extension and forcing the club allow him to leave for nothing this summer, PSG have now suspended French midfielder Adrien Rabiot until the 27th March.
They have cited a clause in the players contract that enables them to suspend Rabiot for “major faults”, which were his decision to go out clubbing on the night of PSG’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Parc des Princes last week and for “liking” an Instagram post by Patrice Evra which criticised the capital club.
PSG will conduct an internal investigation into the player’s conduct and technically have the power to sack Rabiot with immediate effect, but Le Parisien and L’Équipe do not believe that the club will do so.
