Julian Draxler’s agency is actively seeking an exit solution for their client from PSG for next month

L’Équipe report that Julian Draxler’s agency, ROGON, are currently actively seeking an exit solution for the German international midfielder from PSG for next month.

The player is receiving virtually no playing time under Thomas Tuchel and is even less likely to do so now that the German tactician is favouring a 4-4-2. The player would like to be a part of EURO 2020, but at his current playing time levels, that is not possible.

The 26-year-old is currently earning €7.2m a year pre-tax at PSG and infamously loves the Paris lifestyle. ROGON are however pressing forward to find an exit solution, having contacted Hertha Berlin, who have recently become cash-rich following an investment from businessman Lars Windhorst. The Bundesliga side are willing to offer the player €4.5m per year, which is a long way away from his current terms at PSG.

The Ligue 1 club have not yet taken a concrete position on the player’s future, but if they look to sell, they will want €30m. At the moment, Draxler has yet to reject the Hertha proposal.

Estadio Deportivo are separately reporting that Sevilla have made contact with PSG about a deal for Draxler next month. The issue there will also be about satisfying his wage demands, with Monchi and co hoping that the good relationship between the two clubs could bring Les Parisiens to agree to some form of loan until the end of the season with a subsequent option to buy.

L’Équipe report that owing to Draxler’s lack of decision on their offer either way, Hertha Berlin are continuing to pursue other leads, notably that of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, who has already agreed personal terms with the German side. Hertha are offering a loan with €30m option to buy deal, and it is unclear what Arsenal’s position on the bid is.

Kevin Strootman (Marseille), Julian Weigl (Dortmund) and Mario Götze (Dortmund) are all players with whom Hertha Berlin have also had some contact with in recent days.
