BROOKLYN, NY — A Brooklyn man hid a dead body inside an East Flatbush apartment building, police said.
Reginald Newkirk, 51, faces a concealment of a human corpse charge after police found a woman’s body outside his 94 Rockaway Pkwy. home Tuesday, authorities said.
The as-yet-unidentified woman had no obvious injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after the grisly discovery in the sixth-floor hallway about 7 a.m., NYPD officials said.

An NYPD spokesperson could not confirm the relationship between the woman and Newkirk as of late Wednesday morning.
Newkirk, in addition to the concealment of a human corpse charge, was arrested on counts of tampering with physical evidence and criminal tampering, authorities said.
Court records show that Newkirk previously served two jail sentences, each lasting only a few months, after being convicted of assault in June 2015 and weapons possession in August 2021.
