mobanmarketMORENO VALLEY, CA —The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau identified the two people who died as the result of a three-car crash in Moreno Valley overnight.
Isaac Piza, 25, of San Bernardino, was identified as the driver of a grey Dodge Ram truck that toppled into a flooded channel as a result of the crash. He was swept away, and his body was later found near the Ramona Expressway by Cal Fire/Riverside County’s Swift Water Rescue Team shortly before midnight, according to officials.

Keiana Bridgeforth, 50, of Menifee, also perished at the crash scene at Kitching Street and Cactus Avenue, according to the coroner’s bureau.

Two other crash victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Marcos Acosta.
Just after 10:30 p.m., Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were called to the scene where a black Lexus, grey Dodge Ram, and White Dodge Ram collided.

The grey Dodge Ram careened into the flood channel, which lines one side of Kitching Street. The driver— later reported as Piza— washed downstream, according to Acosta’s report. The second passenger was helped from the truck with the aid of Good Samaritans, according to Acosta. They helped the passenger out of the truck and were taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
Cal Fire’s Swift Water Rescue Team ultimately found Piza’s body in the flood channel at Ramona Expressway and Evans Road, where he was declared dead shortly before midnight.
“The driver of the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene of the original crash,” Acosta said. Their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation, Acosta said. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were determined to be a factor in the collision.
