ENFIELD, CT — A former employee at a treatment center for teens and pre-teens was arrested Monday in connection with an investigation that found her to have engaged in a sexual relationship with a client last spring.
Lucylle Rainville, 25, of Tolland, was charged with second-degree sexual assault, tampering with a witness and dispensing a controlled substance. Bond was set at $125,000 and she was arraigned in Hartford Superior Court, where she was released on a written promise to appear.
Police Chief Alaric Fox said a 19-page report on the investigation found Rainville had been an employee at the Joshua Center on Shaker Road, which treats children between the ages of 6 and 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care, according to its website.

Rainville worked “in a psychological/therapist capacity” at the facility, Fox said, and a joint investigation began involving the police department and the Department of Children and Families after concerns were raised that a sexual relationship had developed between Rainville and a teenage client.
The investigation was prompted by a video that was “going around the school” that reportedly depicted sexual behavior between the two. The investigation thereafter focused on sexual activity between the two that had reportedly occurred at the school and at area motels, Fox said.

The teen indicated that a sexual relationship had occurred, and that Rainville had provided him with “weed,” as well as cash via a phone app. After obtaining a search warrant, Rainville’s phone was seized and examined, though there were “no inculpatory photos or videos located,” Fox said.
Rainville is due back in court Dec. 11.
