WWE announces partnership with Big 12 Conference for championship game

WWE has announced a partnership with the Big 12 Conference for the 2023 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship game. 

The game takes place Saturday, December 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. 

After the game, a WWE Superstar will present the Most Outstanding Player with a custom-made WWE championship belt in an on-field ceremony.

A co-branded WWE and Big 12 logo will also appear throughout the venue, on the field, and on the title belt as well. WWE Superstars will also participate in Big 12 Conference community events, pre-game events, as well as the game's official coin toss.

“Brett and his team at the Big 12 have turbocharged the conference through innovative media rights deals and commercial partnerships, constantly exploring new ways to grow the conference’s reach and influence,” said WWE President Nick Khan in a press release. “We’re excited to partner with them and help amplify the Big 12 Championship.”

"WWE is a global brand that connects with a wide array of audiences," Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark said in a statement. "With this partnership, we will integrate WWE and its brand power into one of the conference's biggest moments, further strengthening the bridge between sports and entertainment throughout the Big 12."
