Money Rolls Into Hinsdale D86 Campaigns

HINSDALE, IL – A number of donors to three campaigns for the Hinsdale High School District 86 board have given at least $1,000.

Such contributions must be reported within a couple of business days in the last month before an election.

The five school board candidates in Tuesday’s election are Kay Gallo, Catherine Greenspon, Andrew Catton, Asma Akhras and Deborah Willoughby.

All five candidates have filed information on their campaign funds with the state Board of Elections. That means they expect to raise or spend at least $5,000 in a year’s time.

Willoughby and Akhras have not reported any donations of $1,000 or more.

The other three candidates, Gallo, Greenspon and Catton, have received such contributions.

At the beginning of the trio’s campaigns, a couple of residents set up a joint fund for them, but it disbanded within days.
