mobanmarketRonda Rousey’s expected Women’s Tag Team title match at WrestleMania 39 is off, but she is still on the card.
Dave Meltzer is reporting that while the title match is off the show, Rousey is still on the show and is expected to be in a different match.
It had been reported earlier this month that Rousey had aggravated a previous arm injury, but was expected to be ready by WrestleMania. Despite the six-woman tag match between Damage CTRL and Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus officially being announced for WrestleMania, another match featuring Rousey and Baszler wrestling for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles had also been planned for the show.
Early in March, Rousey was set to team with Baszler on SmackDown against Tegan Nox and Natalya. However, an angle was shot where the two teams brawled backstage. The match was then turned into a singles bout between Baszler and Nox, with Rousey appearing at ringside with a sling in her arm selling the backstage attack.
