‘Pandemonium’ directors say WWE’s Vince McMahon ‘killed’ the project

A long-planned biopic on the rise of WWE chairman Vince McMahon has now been shelved thanks to McMahon himself, according to the co-directors of the project.

Co-directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra revealed the news to SlashFilm with Requa saying, "Vince killed it."

Requa said it was a first in their career that a studio, actor and everyone involved was on board but that the focus — McMahon — simply said they weren't making it.

The film that was in the works as far back as 2017 was only going to be made with the involvement of WWE Studios, hence why McMahon's say mattered. Bradley Cooper was once attached to the movie to play McMahon.

"So, yeah, we are on a very long list of people who got f*cked over by Vince," said Requa.

A multi-part Netflix docuseries about McMahon is still on the docket and a new book on him is being released later this month.
