According to fresh developments regarding the wrestlers’ protest, the government has named a probe panel.

It consists of 3 members that will investigate the sexual harassment allegations against WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The Sports Ministry informed the WFI on January 21 that it is to suspend all activities with immediate effect.

When the committee takes over the functioning of the WFI, the allegations against the body president will be investigated.

Also, the Sports Ministry has asked WFI to also cancel the Ranking Tournament.
It communicated to the WFI to return the entry fees charged to participants.
