The end of Monday’s Raw saw Jey arrive in the crowd towards the end of a match between Zayn and his brother, Jimmy Uso. The distraction allowed Zayn to roll up Jimmy for the win. After the match, Jey appeared conflicted, staring down his brother and clutching him by the shirt before exiting the ring and meeting Zayn. He initally told Zayn that he trusted him, and the two hugged. However it was a swerve, as Jey superkicked Zayn and threw him back into the ring, where Solo Sikoa joined in and the three beat down Zayn. Cody Rhodes then came out for the save as the show ended.
Jey had appeared conflicted in the weeks following the Royal Rumble, not knowing whether to leave The Bloodline or remain in it following their turn on Zayn. While he successfully teamed with his brother to retain the SmackDown Tag Team titles against Braun Strowman & Ricochet, he also appeared sympathetic to Zayn, who encouraged Jey to leave the group.
On Friday’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns told Paul Heyman that Jey had one week to return to The Bloodline, and if he didn’t, he was going to blame Jimmy.
