PSG to recall loan player to facilitate Keylor Navas move to Nottingham Forest

According to Loïc Tanzi of L’Équipe Paris Saint-Germain will terminate the loan agreement of one of eight players in order to facilitate goalkeeper Keylor Navas’s move Nottingham Forest – if he were to join the Premier League side on loan.

Colin Dagba (Strasbourg), Layvin Kurzawa (Fulham), Abdou Diallo (Leipzig), Georginio Wijnaldum (AS Roma), Ander Herrera (Athletic Bilbao), Leandro Paredes (Juventus), Julian Draxler (Benfica) and Mauro Icardi (Galatasaray) are the eight PSG players out on loan this season. FIFA rules indeed state that the club cannot loan any more than eight players aged 21 or more in a season unless one of them is recalled or sold on to their current club.

This is what came into play during Pablo Sarabia’s move to Wolverhampton Wanderers which was permanent, with the transfer estimated at €5m excluding bonuses.

Keylor Navas yesterday gave his agreement to join Nottingham Forest, and discussions were opened with PSG on the nature of a move. Tanzi‘s latest information suggests that a loan move with or without an option to buy the player is not yet out of the question, it will be a matter of which loanee should return to PSG, or be sold on a permanent basis.
