The Very Latest On Vince McMahon’s XFL and Football Related Trademark Attempts

As noted, Vince McMahon, his new “Alpha Entertainment LLC”, VKM Ventures and WWE have been applying for trademarks related to both the XFL and what appear to be football related projects.

According to PWInsider.com, the term “XFL”, which Alpha Entertainment recently applied to trademark, likely will not have any movement until the middle of March, 2018, as there is a ninety day waiting period for all newly trademark applications.

With regards to VKM Ventures attempting to trademark “UFL”, that has been given an initial refusal as there is a pre-existing “UFL” trademark application already in play. The Urban Fitness League, which centers around weightlifting and fitness, filed to trademark the initials back in January of this year, and unless VKM Ventures can prove there will not be any conflicts they likely will not receive the trademark. It’s also worth noting that the initial refusal included a request for goods and services to be amended, in order to provide a better understanding of why VKM is applying for the trademark.

Finally, with regards to the “United Football League” trademark, that appears to be moving forward despite an existing trademark attempt by a different party back in 2010.
