NXT is coming to you from The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, TX fresh off Ember Moon’s Women’s championship victory at NXT Takeover in Houston. We see tonight the Women’s division start to heat up as The Pirate Princess Kairi Sane goes one-on-one with one half of the Iconic Duo, Peyton Royce.
Also, how will WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunn respond to the challenge from Tyler Bate & Trent Seven, when they challenged him last week to a “British Strong Style” match after his incredible bout with Johnny Gargano?
THE STREET PROFITS vs. TINO SABBATELLI & RIDDICK MOSS
We begin the match with a collar and elbow tie up between Riddick Moss and Angelo Dawkins. Dawkins gets the early advantage and Moss has to roll out of the ring to collect himself. Moss back in the ring gets a waist lock takedown on Dawkins and with a standing switch, gets a waist lock takedown of his own. Both men are jocking for position until Moss is able to bounce off the ropes and get a hard shoulder tackle. Dawkins answers back with a shoulder tackle of his own and follows it up with a scoop slam.
Montez Ford comes into the ring, and we see some tandem offense from the Street Profits, with Ford back body dropping Dawkins onto Moss. Sabbatelli tries to make his way into the ring to take control, but The Street Profits knock both men outside of the ring and have complete control of this one!
Outside of the ring, Montez Ford hits Riddick Moss with a stiff kick from the apron, but Sabbatelli is able to hit Ford with a forearm sending Ford off the apron onto the barricade. Sabbatelli and Moss take control, and start with frequent tags, keeping Ford grounded and showboating while they do it, Moss dancing above Ford before dropping Ford with a big right hand. Ford tries to make his way back with some knife inch chops, but Moss hits Ford with a big back elbow sending Ford to the mat once again.
Riddick Moss puts in a rear chin lock, keeping Ford on the ground but the crowd starts to get the Street Profits back into this match, willing Ford back onto his feet, but Ford is driven into the turnbuckles. Riddick Moss charges like a bull to Ford, but Ford is able to move out of the way, driving Moss’s shoulder right into the ring post and Ford makes the tag to Angelo Dawkins who floors both Moss and Sabbatelli with right hands and clotheslines in the corner. Moss and Sabbatelli are on the receiving end of a flurry of right hands, and sends Moss out of the ring. Dawkins goes for the pin but Sabbatelli is able to push him off into the ropes, allowing Moss to clock Dawkins with a right hand. Sabbatelli goes for the pin and Moss tries to take advantage by holding down Dawkins’ legs, but the referee is able to catch Moss. Ford is able to collect himself and deliver a splash to the outside to Moss and it gives him time to have some tandem offense with Dawkins. The finish comes after Sabbatelli is laid out and Ford delivers a big splash to pick up the victory.
Winners: The Street Profits
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Backstage, we see Trent Seven & Tyler Bate getting interviewed, and Seven talks about Wolfgang getting attacked by the Undisputed Era and how Pete Dunne rather than helping his comrade in arms, he decided to hightail it. Tyler Bate says that Seven and Bate are a real team, and they have no worries about facing Pete Dunne & Mark Andrews because they are Mustache Mountain.
We then see a backstage interview with Mark Andrews and he is asked why he decided to team with Pete Dunne against Tyler Bate and Trent Seven. Andrews says that his intentions are very clear, and that if Dunne & Andrews win this match, that Andrews is the new number one contender for the United Kingdom Championship.
