Both teams were really hyping their first round match on social media, with Rusev & Lana even composing a song about their opponents, while Bayley & Elias focus more on a game plan and getting to know each other.
After the match, Rusev and Lana emerged victorious and they celebrated a Happy Rusev Day! Lana did prove tonight that she is the best, and Lana’s number one! They joined the teams of Finn Balor & Sasha Banks, Intercontinental Champion The Miz & Asuka, Braun Strowman & Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, and Jimmy Uso & Naomi in the second round of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament.

Lana & Rusev will move on to face off against the winner of the match between Apollo Crews & Nia Jax vs. United States Champion Bobby Roode &Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
