Three Major Names Set To Return on First WWE RAW of 2019

Three major returns are set for the first episode of WWE RAW in 2019, which is set to emanate live from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL on Monday, Jan. 7th. Due to the holidays, that will actually be the first episode of the show to air live, instead of being pre-taped, in three weeks.

The first big name confirmed for the show will be none other than 16-time world champion John Cena — although we recommend taking this information with a grain of salt, since he was originally advertised to return on next week’s New Year’s Eve special edition of WWE RAW by Vince McMahon himself, and yet never turned up at the taping.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will also make his return to the show on Jan. 7th, as will the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman. The two are set to collide in a match for the title at the end of the month at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

All three of these announcements were made before the live audience in Detroit, MI on Saturday night, where they recorded next week’s episode of WWE RAW. Right now only Cena is being officially listed on WWE.com as appearing, but that may change in the next few days.
