AEW Executive Vice Presidents, The Young Bucks made a surprise appearance at AAA’s Rey de Reyes event last night, where they shocked the fans in attendance.
It had been rumored that the tag team might show up after they teased making an appearance somewhere at the end of the latest episode of Being The Elite when the brothers packed their wrestling gear.
However, nobody expected to see the Bucks walk out of Mexico as the new AAA World Tag Team Champions, defeating their rivals and Double or Nothing opponents, Lucha Bros.
The Lucha Bros had already successfully defended the titles against Los Mercenarios (Texano Jr. and Rey Escorpion), but straight after Matt and Nick Jackson challenged the champions to an impromptu title match.
With Feniz and Pentagon both already tired and beaten from the previous title match, the Young Bucks were able to pick up an easy victory to become the new champions, causing a huge surprise.
This could be a sign that the upcoming Double or Nothing match between the teams will be for the AAA World Tag Team Championships, although nothing has been announced at this point.
