RAW Report 3/1/10 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

This week’s RAW starts with music and pyro.

HBK out to the ring in street clothes, sans Cowboy hat! Video from Elimination Chamber when HBK screwed Taker out of his title by climbing through the floor of the Chamber and hitting sweet chin music on him. Then he explained why he did what he did at Elimination Chamber. He told Taker to get his revenge at WM, but HBK’s career has to be on the line. HBK lifts the mic but is stopped by “HBK” chants. He says there’s a buzz around the locker room that everyone thinks he’s crazy for putting his career on the line at WM. As he walks the Hall of the WWE locker room he sees his peers and look them in the eye and they look away. He see them whispering and they look away. Not a one of them believes in him. None of them thinks he can beat Taker at WM. He recognizes the undefeated streak is 17-0, but nobody’s given Taker a run for his money they way he has. He knows beyond a shadow of a doubt, as an undeniable fact that he is Mr. WM! He believes he can end Taker’s WM streak. For all of his peers who don’t believe in him, he’ll give them an opportunity. He wants them out there, look him in the eye, man to man and tell him he can’t win! HHH’s music hits! The fans go wild! HHH doesn’t look happy heading for the ring. HBK says his friend for 15 years doesn’t believe in him? HHH says no, he doesn’t think HBK can beat Taker at WM. “I know you can!” HHH knows that because, look him in the eye, between them, he’s wrestled everyone in this business. Anyone who’s anyone, he’s looked in his eyes. He can tell HBK honestly, from the bottom oh his heart, HBK’s the best he’s ever been in the ring with. He wants to talk about his peers? In that locker room he has no peers. That night HBK truly is Mr. WM! The road to WM takes them down different paths. He can tell HBK with 100% certainty that DX will never die, but it will be a long time before they’re in the ring together again. He’d hat for that to be them losing the Tag Team Champions to Miz and Big Show. That’s why he invoked our rematch clause. Tonight. HBK says he believes… he’s cut off by emotion and the “DX” chants. He appreciates the opportunity, but they’re going down different paths. HHH says it’s not about the Tag Team Champions. If your tag team champ you don’t have to defend for 30 days. 28 days from now will be RAW, the night after WM. That night they come out and throw a celebration like only DX can throw. Because now, he’ll be known as the man who ended Taker’s streak at WM. Nothing to do with being tag team champs. It’s about HHH’s belief in HBK. He believes HBK will still be there after WM. He believes Taker streak will come to an end. He believes HBK will beat Taker. That’s just what HHH believes. What does HBK believe? “HBK” chants. HBK says he believes they have some tag team titles to win tonight! They hug and pose for the fans. Another handshake/hug and they leave the ring together.

Cheech and Chong backstage loving the hippy set up back there. The Bellas want to see their show and they said they’ll set it up. Cheech said they’re not really those guys, they’re just characters. Chong sends them off. Someone comes in and says he’s seen the show enough to know he’s real. In comes Hornswoggle with a box of Lucky charms. Chong starts eating the cereal and the camera starts swirling as if drug induced.

Cena out to the ring to bigger than normal pop! He said there’s a few people who told him Batista stole the title from him, screwed worst than Bret Hart. Not true, it was business. He and Vince had an agreement and he cashed. Wasn’t the first time, won’t be the last. Then Batista ambushed him and beat him until he couldn’t move and he doesn’t know why. They’ve both been in the WWE for a long time. They’ve never had a problem, sometimes they were even friends. Not Batista has a problem with him. Huge “Cena” chants. These people see the silver lining like Cena and he’s going to WM. He has a title match against Batista. It’s four weeks away. After what happened on RAW, he needs to pay Batista back and thinks we should do that right now. Batista out on stage. It’s actually more of a sleeveless leather shirt (black) than a vest. Cena asks if he’s seeing things? Batista the big bad animal now rolls with security. Batista says there not here to protect him, they’re there to protect Cena. He has no trouble hurting Cena, these guys are there to stop that. Batista says Cena can thank him at anytime. Cena says anytime, why not now in the ring. Or stand up there behind his security like a 6’6” 300lbs pansy! Batista smirked and coughed. A quiet “Cena” chant rolled through the arena. Batista says Cena’s a funny guy. The reason he did what he did last week is because he wants to face Cena at WM. They both get what they want and everyone’s happy. Cena’s right, they did start in WWE together. Their rise to the top practically identical, even though he’s glad to say they couldn’t be more different. He says they’re the two biggest stars since the Attitude Era. They both won Championships at WM21 and never looked back. But for some insane reason, this company has decided to label Cena as the man. The name and face of the WWE. Championships, magazine covers, commercials, movies. Somehow the torch was passed from Austin to Cena, when it should have been him. He should be the name and face of the WWE. He’s the biggest name in the company. So he did what he did last week for two… He’s cut off by a huge “Cena” chant. Batista turned to the fans and scowled at them for it. So he did what he did last week for two reasons. One was to beat the hell out of Cena at WM and prove he’s that much better than Cena. The second reason is that he can’t stand Cena. Cena asks that’s all this is about? Some fictional torch that few talk about and nobody’s even seen? Batista’s gotta focus up. Cena wants to be Champion and will take it at WM. He has something to say that’s very real and wants Batista to listen. Things did work out differently for the both of them and you know why? He works his butt off for this company. He’s the first to show up and the last to leave. Batista’s so cool he can’t even show up on time. Every single person in the WWE Universe knows he’s given his life for this business and Batista stands up there and expects the business to be given to him. Dave is all about himself and needs to look in a mirror. He’s selfish, always has been, always will be. Batista agrees, he doesn’t care about them. He’s there to make money, win titles. He doesn’t care about these people. He doesn’t care if they cheer him or boo him. He’s not here for them. Cena go ahead kissing babies and hugging fat girls, Batista will be in a gym somewhere training, thinking about beating Cena at WM. That’s a fact that every time they’re in the ring together that bad things happen to Cena. Wasn’t that long ago that he broke Cena’s neck (August 5, 2008). Cena starts freaking at that. Batista says he doesn’t care what Cena thinks. He can get everyone excited, all he does is bark, bark, bark. Batista will do what he’s good at, we all know what that is. Go ahead, say something inspiring. The whole WWE Universe wants to hear what Cena has to say. Batista says Cena can’t beat him and deep down he knows it. Batista drops the mic on the stage and raises his strap high. Cena just stares back.

Cole says Bret Hart will be back for his Farewell Address. King says DX will face ShoMiz for the Tag Team Championship tonight.

Primo said they can’t stand each other. Then Katie in a moustache beside Chavo. She says she’s bloody British. Then Yoshi in a moustache says something in Japanese. In comes a chicken in a cage. It says the Divas Pillow Fight Match is coming up soon. They’re all excited about that and throw back more cereal.

In the ring Justin announce Cheech and Chong. Cheech is wearing one of the red toques and moustaches that the Colon boys had on. Chong acts like he’s smoking his mic! Cheech says the shows been on for an hour and a half, or a day and a half! Chong said it’s those magic Cheerios man! They are there to announce the Divas for the Pillow fight. Not that they say much more than Kelly’s name over and over again. Hugs all around in the ring. Fox, Jillian and Maryse in more generic PJ’s. Cheech wishes them luck as they flee.

Maryse keeps flipping her hair and posing until they all attack her with their pillows. Jillian clotheslines a couple, then beats on everyone with her pillow. Cheech and Chong are ringside looking on all smiles. She “sings” in the ring until Kelly gets her in the face with the pillow. Kelly leg drops Jillian for two. Maryse hit’s a DDT on Kelly for two until Kim breaks it up. Kim and Eve on Maryse. Kim hit’s a backbreaker on Maryse but Eve breaks the pin. They argue. Fox clotheslines them both to the mat. Fox starts beating on Kim with her pillow. Kim hits her finisher on Fox but then is dropkicked from the ring by Eve. Eve hits her flipping leg drop on Fox for three (that was a kick butt move!).

– Winner: Eve

King says Bret Hart’s Farewell Address is next.

– Commercial

King and Cole talk about NXT. They go on to talk about the matches already slated for WM.

In the ring Justin starts introducing Bret Hart, but Vince’s music stops him in his tracks. Vince wants the honor to introduce Bret to the ring. Vince says Bret is the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be. He’s a WWE HOFer and a man he holds the utmost respect for. Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart. Bret comes wobbling out on his one crutch and using it completely wrong for only having the one. Video of the feud between these two leading up to this. Vince says before they get started, Vince wants Bret to clear his name in the accident that happened a few weeks ago. Bret says he doesn’t know if that’s true or not, but he does know that Vince has treated him like garbage since he came to the WWE this time. He needs to get the hell out of the ring. Vince says he’s sorry. Vince stops before leaving and says Bret called him a liar, a world champion liar. If you’re going to be good at something, why not being the World Champion. See, Bret’s not here to give his Farewell Address, Vince lied! Bret’s not surprised. Why was he asked here? So Vince could sulk back to the dressing room saying Bret screwed Bret? Vince said he screwed Bret and it feels good! Vince asks if Bret challenged him to a match at WM? Vince remembers hearing those words! Bret says he’s a little incapacitated. Vince says so he is! He didn’t notice. He has a broken leg and ligament damage, but even a dried up fossil like him can heal in six weeks. He didn’t come back to make things right and get that all off his chest. He came back because for years it’s been in him. He’s wanted to fight Vince. Bret said fair enough, he’s wanted to fight Vince for 13 years. Vince asks why not fight him? Why not? WM? It’s his dream. Doesn’t Bret want his dreams to come true? Doesn’t he remember that he’s the guy who screwed him in Montreal! He’s the one who sent him to the WCW where he embarrassed himself. He’s the guys who spit in his face. He’s the guy who lied and said Stu would be in this year’s HOF. Is that motivation enough for him? How about having his dreams come true. If not for himself, how about his fans all over the world. Do you want to see Bret Hart in the ring one more time. He might not be 100%, but he’s a Canadian hero! Would everybody here like to see Bret in a WM match with him? Bret says he knows Vince is trying to goad him into a match. He can’t wrestle, he has a broken leg, idiot! Vince says he hates to hear those words, his last name used to stand for something. But now he has no heart. You know what he’s become standing here letting everyone down. Bret Hart’s a coward. Vince then kicks the crutch away and Bret falls to the mat. Bret’s selling the pain well. Vince knocks the crutch away as bet reaches for it. Vince leaves the ring and call Bret a coward. Yellow to the bone, rotten to the core. Bret yells that if Vince wants the match at WM, he’s got it! Vince smiles a lot and then turns to leave. At the stage Vince says Bret might not be at 100%, but he is. To show Vince physical conditioning next week, he’ll be taking on Cena as Bret watches from home. Vince mocks Bret’s crutch as he leaves the stage. Bret sits and slides out of the ring. He grabs his crutch and starts to leave.
