Here’s what went down on YouTube, Facebook and WWE.com just before Royal Rumble on PPV!
U.S Title: Antonio Cesaro vs The Miz
Miz goes for early pinfalls, before the two briefly fight over a headlock. Cesaro counters a leapfrog with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker in mid-air. Cesaro punishes Miz with a double armlock and sit out powerslam. A gutwrench suplex keeps Miz down. Cesaro throws Miz to the corner and jabs away at the midsection. Miz kicks back, but gets shut down with a backbreaker across the knee. Cesaro goes back to the armlock. Miz fights free and counters a powerslam with an inverted DDT/neckbreaker combo. Miz wins a slugfest and hits a corner clothesline. Miz goes high risk and lands very awkwardly on his knee. Miz gets a nearfall from a DDT. The referee catches Cesaro trying to pin Miz with his feet on the ropes. Cesaro misses a high knee in the corner. Miz chopblocks, but Cesaro kicks off a Figure Four attempt. Miz kicks Cesaro out of the ring. Miz follows, only to get pulled into the steel structure underneath the ring apron. Back inside, Cesaro hits the Neutralizer to retain his title. 1-2-3. Winner: ANTONIO CESARO.
