WWE 205 Live Results (10/10): Kalisto’s Championship Celebration

The show opens up with a video package recapping the segment Enzo had with Kurt Angle on Raw and getting booked into a Lumberjack Match for The Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto. The video package also showed us Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol off the second rope to win the Cruiserweight Championship.
We are welcomed to the show by Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness as they talk about Kalisto becoming the new champion. They also inform us that TJP will be taking on Rich Swann in a 2 out of 3 falls match later tonight.
Renee Young is already in the ring as she introduces Kalisto. Kalisto says that it is a dream come true to become champion and he brings up the fact that he did it on Eddie Guerrero’s birthday. Kalisto says that he plans to bring honor and respect to the title, unlike Enzo Amore. Enzo’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring with Ariya Daivari on his side and a mic in hand. Enzo says that he is not trying to crash Kalisto’s party, he is the life of the party. He continues by saying that this is still the “Zo Show” and he’s put the entire division on his back, but Kalisto can’t do it. Enzo says that he is the one putting food on the other “Loserweights” plates, yet they all raised up Kalisto like it was the film, Rudy.

Enzo then says that Mustafa Ali was the one who cost him the title and that Kalisto is a hypocrite because he had to lie, cheat, and steal to get that title. Kalisto said (using Enzo’s own words) whether it was an inch or mile, he won, and Enzo lost. Enzo says that at TLC he’s taking the title back. Daivari attempts to jump Kalisto, but gets caught, in runs Enzo and they start stomping him down. Ali runs in to make the save, and the heels back their way out of the ring while Joseph teases more on this later. Kalisto celebrates in the ring as Enzo and Daivari look on.
Before The 2 out of 3 Falls Match, we are reminded on how TJP and Rich Swann’s rivalry re-started when Perkins attacked Swann and ripped out some of his hair after Rich tried to move on.
Rich Swann vs. TJP: This is a 2 out of 3 Falls Match. Before the match officially gets started, Swann says he just wants TJP to understand that this match he wanted so badly, comes with a price. The price? Friendship! Swann says once he wins, there will be no handshakes, hugs, or forgiveness. TJP gets right after Swann, kicking him to the floor, knocking him into the camera guy, who falls down. Back in the ring, TJP goes for a kneebar, Swann is able to counter into a pin and gets a pinfall.
Rich Swann up 1-0

TJP immediately gets on Swann, lifting him up and letting him fall to the mat, TJP goes for multiple pins, but Swann kicks out each time. It is announced that Kalisto and Mustafa Ali will take on Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari later tonight. Swann is trying to get some offense in this one, but TJP is able to keep control as he jumps on the second rope and taunts the crowd. As soon as he turns around, he gets dropkicked in the face. TJP goes back to taunting and Swann takes advantage again, Nigel wonders why TJP isn’t trying to go for pins. Swann hits a high crossbody, then heads to the apron, he floats over for a pin attempt, TJP hangs on the ropes and switches into a leg submission, Swann is able to crawl to the bottom rope.

TJP heads to the top rope, standing hurricanrana by Swann gets a nice pop from the crowd. Double clotheslines slows things down again as both men are floored. TJP on the apron, springboards into a superkick, then a pin, but only a two count. Swann heads to the top, TJP stops him, Swann on his shoulders, TJP drops him into the kneebar lock, Swann just barely makes it to the ropes. Swann with a crazy running phoenix splash, pin, but only a two count. Swann up to the top rope, hits a phoenix splash and gets the win. Winner: Rich Swann via Pinfall (2-0)
We head Backstage where Enzo talks with Ariya Daivari and he calls Kalisto and Ali “Dirtbags.” but after their tag match tonight, Enzo and Ariya will leave singing Hakuna Matata. Drew Gulak approaches them, and says that he feels their pain and while he doesn’t always agree with Amore’s bombastic ways, especially when he calls him “Capt. Underpants”, Kalisto and Ali violate many of the proposals in his Powerpoint Presentation. Gulak thanks them for their time and says he’s going to make an example of Akira Tozawa. Amore is left wondering what just happened.

Akira Tozawa vs. Drew Gulak: As Tozawa makes his way down to the ring, he is attacked by Drew Gulak. He is furious with Akira always interrupting him. After beating him down to the ramp, he hits him right in the throat with his “No Chants” sign. Winner: No Contest
We get a video package recapping Cedric Alexander snapping and taking out The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher last week. Dasha Fuentes interviews Alexander, and he says that he showed Kendrick that he’s not the only man with a plan on 205 Live. Cedric says that he may not stab his friends in the back to get what he wants, but he won’t back down, even in the face of two-on-one odds. He says that he is sure Jack and Kendrick are working on their next plan, and he’ll be ready with his own when that happens.
Before the next match, Amore gets yet another promo during his team’s entrance. He tells Ali that he better have a good plastic surgeon, because he won’t be able to smell money out of his nose when they’re done with him. He also recommends that he holds the side of a guacamole. He also says some things about sour cream and then calls Kalisto and his partner S-A-W-F-T.
Mustafa Ali & Kalisto vs. Enzo Amore & Ariya Daivari: Daivari with an early distraction on Ali to allow Enzo to jump him from behind. Ali with a nice rebound off Enzo’s chest into a dropkick. Ali on the apron, looking to dive in and Daivari with a big boot to the face while the referee was distracted. Enzo and Daivari continue to take advantage on Ali, Kalisto heads into the ring a few times to get the referee to do his job. Ali really selling a rib injury as Daivari squeezes them, Enzo taunts from the sidelines. Enzo tags in and goes for a big kick, Ali catches it and hits a spinning heel kick. Kalisto finally tags in and destroys both Enzo and Daivari, he eventually sends them to the floor and we get stereo dives from Ali and Kalisto. The champ throws Daivari back into the ring, Enzo slams Ali’s face smack into the ring post. Kalisto gets distracted momentarily, pin by Daivari, but only a two count. Kalisto is able to hit the Salida del Sol on Daivari and he gets the 1-2-3 for the win. Winners: Mustafa Ali & Kalisto
