Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan have been running Smackdown on television for over a year now, but the company has been teasing dissension between the two in recent weeks. It is interesting to see the feud being teased when considering the fact that Daniel Bryan still has not been cleared to wrestle by WWE doctors. As far as teased rivalry goes, Cageside Seats reports that the feud will definitely be happening at some point in the future. It is possible that Bryan could be cleared by the medical staff to return to the ring by the time that his contract expires in 2018, but it is being said that another wrestler will be selected to wrestle Shane McMahon in Bryan’s place if he is not cleared in time.
Impact Wrestling recently announced their intentions to rebrand the company as a Canadian wrestling promotion, but they are not leaving the United States just yet. The promotion revealed earlier today that they will be returning to Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida for another set of television tapings at the beginning of the new year. Impact will be taping several shows in a row from Universal Studios starting on January 10th, 2018 before concluding on January 15th, 2018. No word on whether or not this will be the company’s last time taping television in the Impact Zone, but the plan is definitely to begin taping more shows in Canada next year.

Even after being removed from the professional wrestling business for a number of years, CM Punk arguably remains one of the most talked about figures in the industry today. Punk left WWE in controversial fashion in 2014 and has been working on an MMA career. He competed in a losing effort against Mickey Gall at UFC 203, but recent reports and photos have shown Punk training for his next MMA fight. Despite some rumors suggesting that he spoke with Dana White about setting up his next fight during the recent UFC 218 show, White just informed the UK’s Daily Express that he did not speak with Punk at the show and that he was simply there to support a friend of his.
