Nia Jax Facing Asuka at Elimination Chamber, New Raw Song, Kane

Nia Jax and Asuka are two of the most dominant forces in the entire women’s division on the Raw brand. Naturally, it makes sense that the two of them will officially be facing off at the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. On last night’s edition of Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Jax will be facing Asuka at the event. If Jax wins the match, she will then go on to face the winner of the women’s Elimination Chamber match for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Since Asuka won the Royal Rumble a few weeks back, this means that the WrestleMania match could be a Triple Threat Match if Jax wins and Asuka still chooses to challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship in April.

A place in the first women’s #WWEChamber match was what I wanted…
…but I’ll settle for breaking @WWEAsuka’s streak and a championship match at #WrestleMania. That’ll be just fine. #Raw

Last week, WWE debuted a slightly enhanced version of Monday Night Raw. The look that the show had since 2016 faded away after the 25th anniversary edition of the show from a few weeks ago. Raw recently came back with some new graphics and a different setup than before. It appears as though WWE will also be debuting two brand new songs for the Raw brand as well. WWE announced on Twitter before last night’s Raw event went on the air that “Born for Greatness” by Papa Roach and “Charge Up the Power” by Goodbye June have officially become two of the newest theme songs for their flagship program. The songs debuted on last night’s edition of the program.

Kane has enjoyed quite a bit of success ever since he returned. He recently competed for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, but he was recently written off of television after Braun Strowman buried him underneath the announcer desk stage. It has since been reported that Kane is dealing with a back injury that could force him to take some time off from the ring. Wrestling Inc. has since reported that Kane has been removed form several upcoming WWE live events that he had been advertised for. It’s unclear as to whether or not this is due to an injury or if it is because Kane is focusing on his campaign for Mayor, but do not expect to see Kane return to the ring for a while.
