Styles defeated Drew Gulak on last night’s show to retain the Intercontinental title. The match had been set up by Gulak defeating Styles prior to Styles becoming champion. Daniel Bryan challenged Styles to give Gulak a title shot, and Bryan appeared on last night’s show via Zoom to give his thoughts during the match.
Sheamus also appeared via video for the main event segment where he presented a toast to Jeff Hardy.
Bayley and Sasha Banks held a tribute to themselves on last night’s show, Kofi Kingston took on Shinsuke Nakamura, and — after his exclusive interview at the start of the episode was interrupted by Baron Corbin — Matt Riddle faced off with John Morrison.
