Dean Ambrose Update, Haskins Coming to ROH, Change to NXT Match

Dean Ambrose has been out of action ever since late last year due to a triceps injury. Ambrose is one of Raw’s biggest stars, so fans have been wondering when “The Lunatic Fringe” will be returning to the ring. It was recently reported that Ambrose has been visiting Birmingham, Alabama to have his injury evaluated by doctors. During a Q&A session on Facebook earlier this week, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle said that Ambrose is recovering at the moment and he should be coming back very soon. No timetable for his return was provided by Angle, but it seems likely that Ambrose will be competing in the ring again regularly at some point later in the summer.
Ring of Honor made a huge announcement earlier this week when it was confirmed that NWA Champion Nick Aldis will be wrestling for the promotion soon. Only a few days later, ROH announced that another huge UK star will be competing for them over the next few weeks. Ring of Honor officially confirmed that former PROGRESS Wrestling World Champion Mark Haskins will be teaming up with Aldis to take on The Young Bucks at a few upcoming shows. The match will be taking place at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 24th as part of ROH’s Honor United tour. More ROH shows set to take place in the UK later that week were also announced by the promotion.

Changes to certain storylines and matches in WWE take place all the time within the company, but it is rare that aspects of a match are changed while that match is going on. However, during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that an audible was called during a match at an NXT live event over the weekend. Fans began chanting loudly for a heel Chad Lail during his match against a babyface Kassius Ohno, and as a result, Ohno began using heel tactics midway through the match and he even ending up losing to Lail. This was a decision reportedly made on the spot as Ohno has picked up the win over Lail in all of their other NXT live event matches.
