Asuka beat Emma
This one ended in a legit KO finish as there was a ref stoppage as Emma stayed down after a kick to the face. This match was great before the abrupt ending as we saw Emma bring the fight to Asuka who had some amazing counters and transitions in to her holds. It’s a shame they didn’t get to their finish.
American Alpha beat The Vaudevillains
Big reaction for the Vauds as they started their entrance from the balcony with the spotlights. It was an even larger reaction to Alpha. This match was very well wrestled as expected. The heels got a lot of heat on Gable before a huge Jordan hot tag.
Eva Marie and Nia Jax beat Billie Kay and Amanda
Huge heat for Eva including “You Can’t Wrestle” and “Fire Eva” chants. Amanda and Eva worked in the middle of this match. There wasn’t much too it as it was kept simple. Eva won with a roll up on Billie.
Sami Zayn beat Tye Dillinger twice
Pre-match, Tye said he was the LeBron James of NXT which got a mixed reaction. He then said, “But unlike LeBron, once I leave Cleveland, I am never coming back.” Sami out to a thunderous ovation, an absolute star reaction. Dillinger goes to taunt Zayn with various 10 cards and Sami rolls him up for a flash pin. Dillinger then begs for a rematch. Sami asked him to say the magic word and then after some funny antics, we restart this match. Great action as expected with a big Sami Zayn comeback with a blue thunder bomb, exploder, and helluva kick for the win.
Dasha Fuentes welcomes us back from intermission and out comes William Regal to praise the wrestlers for making NXT what it has become.
NXT Women’s Champion Bayley beat Alexa Bliss
Good reaction for Bliss and the best performance I’ve ever seen. Superstar reaction for Bayley and strong in-match responses. Bliss hit the sunset flip powerbomb for a convincing near fall. Bliss worked over Bayley’s arm through the match but was no match for the champion. Belly To Bayley for the win.
NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival beat Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano
Huge home town reaction for Johnny Wrestling tonight, with his family in the front row the crowd was completely behind him. Very good match yet sadly we had another scary moment as Ciampa hurt his shoulder on the Shatter Machine finish by The Revival and needed help up and to the back.
NXT Champion Finn Balor beat Baron Corbin, Samoa Joe, and Apollo Crews in a fatal four way
Great multi-man match as expected. Finn was involved in most of the match as one or two of the others would be sent to the outside and the rest would do work. Great finish saw Joe put the clutch on Baron, Apollo hit the standing moonsault on them, and then Finn hit the top rope foot stomp on the pile and scored the pin on Corbin. Post match, Finn shook Apollo’s hand and they celebrated with the crowd.
