Daily Update: UFC 200 main event will be DC vs. Jones 2

As expected, the UFC announced today that Daniel Cormier will be cleared to fight July 9, and the light heavyweight title will be unified once again as DC will take on the rightful champion, Johnny “Bones” Jones. Tickets went on sale to Fight Club members earlier today and from all accounts, there was a massive turnout. Many members experienced delays in attempting to purchase tickets. The cheapest and second cheapest, 205 and 355 dollars respectively, were sold out almost immediately, for what is anticipated to be the biggest UFC event of all time. With three title fights on the card, expect a long night of action.

UFC will also be promoting two other shows for the now annual fight week with one on Thursday and the other on Friday night leading up to the big event. No cards are announced yet for those shows, but one will be The Ultimate Fighter Season 23 Finale’ featuring the winning fighters from that season, also known as Team Claudia vs. Team Joanna.
