The Pre-Show of tonight’s episode of WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge opens up with Kayla Braxton & Vic Joseph welcoming us to tonight’s show. We then see previews of tonight’s Superstars.
Main Show:
Michael Cole, Vic Joseph & Renee Young welcome us to tonight’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge. Renee Young had a phone out to present to Michael Cole to tell the people watching at home how to use Facebook Watch.
Braun Strowman & Ember Moon vs. Kevin Owens & Natalya: Owens jaws with Strowman to try and stall. He ends up tagging out to Natalya, “You’re lucky I’m a gentleman!” Owens yells at Strowman. Natalya goes for the early pin on Moon. Owens and Strowman continue to yell at each other as Natalya goes for a few more quick pin attempts. Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox are in the comment section on Facebook. Natalya with a shoulder block followed by some back and forth flipping and taunting each other. Moon with a pin, but only gets a two count. Moon with a kick to the stomach and hits a rough looking hurricanrana, then goes for a cover, but only gets a two count. Moon with a running elbow in the corner, heads up to the top rope, but Natalya knocks her off. Natalya with a spinning powerbomb and goes for the sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Moon crawls to the ropes as Strowman cheers her on. Strowman ends up pulling Moon near the ropes, tags in and goes to work on Owens. Strowman ends up sending Owens to the floor and runs him over. Strowman goes for a second one, but Owens hits a superkick, throws him into the ring post and then the announce table. The referee starts up his ten-count, but Strowman gets in a nine. Owens lands a superkick, tries for a cannonball in the corner, but he’s caught. Strowman with a clubbing blow, looks for the running powerslam, but Owens gets off his shoulders and tags in Natalya. Natalya looks for the sharpshooter, but Moon counters, hits an enziguri and tells Strowman to get in the ring. Moon stands on Strowman’s shoulders and hits the eclipse for the 1-2-3. Winners: Braun Strowman & Ember Moon
Bobby Lashley & Sasha Banks vs. Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox was announced for next week’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge.
We head backstage where Bobby Lashley & Sasha Banks say that they will show Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox who the legit bosses are.
We head to a random location where Jinder Mahal tries to do “shanti” but Alicia Fox is too jacked up for that stuff and says that she’s the captain of the team. Jinder Mahal heads off.
WWE Champion AJ Styles & Charlotte Flair vs. Jimmy Uso & Naomi: Styles and Uso get things started. Back and forth moves lead to a stalemate between both wrestlers. They both catch each other’s kicks and agree to put down each other’s feet. They go to shake hands and then won’t let go. They both argue about tagging out first as Charlotte yells “Can I please have a turn?!” Styles does another horrible impression of Ric Flair. Naomi and Charlotte lands kicks to each other’s face. Charlotte does a little twerking a la Naomi and struts around the ring. Naomi with a fist bump and goes right into a headlock, then springboards around into a pin, but only gets a two count. Charlotte with a quick pin attempt, but doesn’t get it. Naomi with a jumping split, then goes for a cover, but only gets a two count. Naomi with a kick that sends Charlotte out to the floor. Styles talks with her for a minute. Naomi tries for a leap and lands on Styles, who catches her. Jimmy comes over “Don’t put your hand on my wife!” Charlotte then leaps over the top rope and clears out both Naomi and Jimmy. Back in the ring, Charlotte with a bunch of chops. Naomi with a jawbreaker and a slap to Charlotte’s face. Jimmy is suddenly wearing Natalya’s cat ears. Charlotte drops Naomi, heads to the top rope and lands a moonsault, then goes for a cover, but only gets a two count. We see Carmella and R-Truth backstage in the Facebook comments section. Styles and Jimmy are back in the ring. Styles thought he had the match won, tries for the styles clash, but gets countered into a Samoan drop. Naomi tags herself in and hits an assisted hurricanrana on Styles. Charlotte then locks in the figure-eight on Jimmy. Naomi with a splash off the top rope, then goes for a cover, but Styles breaks it up. Styles leaps off Charlotte’s back with a phenomenal forearm on Jimmy. Naomi with a rear view mirror to send Styles out of the ring. Charlotte with a big boot, then locks in the figure-eight. Naomi taps out. Winners: WWE Champion AJ Styles & Charlotte Flair
The Miz & Asuka vs. R-Truth & Carmella was announced for next week’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge on The SmackDown side. They did promos where R- Truth says that next week he is finally going to be able to pin Carmella. She tried to set him straight and he was convinced that she is confused.
We go back to Styles & Flair celebrating in the ring as WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge goes off the air.
