Gophers top NDSU in feisty match in Fargo

FARGO – The end result was predictable, but that didn’t mean the University of Minnesota and North Dakota State didn’t go at it on the wrestling mat. The 26-9 Minnesota win included contested points, video reviews and coaches arguing and pleading all over the place.

Some of that, Gopher head coach J Robinson said, was the student wanting to show the teacher. In this case, that would be NDSU head coach Roger Kish and assistant Manny Rivera, both former Gopher wrestlers.
