Last night marked the official ticket announcement party for All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing event. The promotion still has yet to run a single show or announce a TV deal, but plenty of exciting announcements were still made during the party in Las Vegas last night. The party took place at the MGM Grand and it featured some news concerning AEW talent, partnerships, and more. Among the announcements during the event was the official confirmation of Kenny Omega signing with the promotion. Omega made a surprise appearance during the event and even had a confrontation with his New Japan Pro Wrestling rival Chris Jericho, which may just end up resulting in Omega’s first feud in AEW.
Kenny Omega is arriving to AEW after concluding an incredible run in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he led the Bullet Club faction and held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in addition to competing in a numerous amount of critically acclaimed matches. Omega was about to demonstrate how AEW will “change the world” before he was interrupted by Jericho. Omega was also listed as being an “Executive Vice President” of All Elite Wrestling when he made his entrance. It has been reported online for weeks now that Omega decided to join AEW in favor of coming to WWE, who supposedly made Omega an enormous offer to sign with them. Instead, Omega is working for AEW full-time and fans can expect to see him during Double or Nothing.

In addition to Kenny Omega, a handful of other competitors were officially announced as members of the AEW roster during the ticket party. Sonny Kiss, Pentagon, Fenix, Aja Kong, Kylie Rae, Yuka Sakazaki, and Nyla Rose have all signed with the promotion. It has also been announced that the Chuckie T and Beretta, also known as the Best Friends, have signed with AEW following their recent departure from NJPW. Also announced as an AEW signee is Sammy Guevara, who is the reigning Cruisweight Champion for Lucha Libre promotion AAA. All Elite Wrestling is really beginning to take shape now, so it will be interesting to see what happens when it all goes down during the Double or Nothing event on May 25th.
