On Valentine’s Day, 10,000 Students In Surat Vow Of Not Marrying Against Their Parent’s Wish

As Bajrang Dal, the right-wing group pulls up its socks for Valentine’s day where they have threatened pubs and restaurants in Telangana against giving special offers to couples, this February 14 will also witness a unique mass gathering of students.

Young boys and girls in Gujarat have decided to take a pledge to not marry against the wish of their parents. Almost 10,000 students from various private schools in Surat are expected to take this oath today. The Indian Express reported that this idea was suggested by a city-based laughter therapist Kamlesh Masalawala who runs ‘Laughter club, Crying club’ in Surat.
