On June 8, a tiger died at the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. The cause of his death is still not ascertained. The male tiger – ST-16 – was brought from Ranthambore to Sariska in April.
Officials had operated his injured leg on Saturday after it as tranquilised, but later officials found his dead body in the forest.
