What began as a joke on the internet later was picked up by some BJP politicians, including Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
It all stemmed from the fact that under Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, it was held that any Kashmiri women marrying outside the state will lose her right to inheritance and property, which is no longer applicable since August 5.
