GQ names Mark Ronson as best dressed

GQ have announced their best-dressed list of 2009, giving Mark Ronson the number one accolade. At number three is Tom Ford – “Tom’s fashion icon is Cary Grant, and no one understands how to emulate the actor’s immaculate, masculine yet playful style better than Mr Ford. In person Tom is dangerously sexy. He is one of the few designers who perfectly embodies his own aesthetic. Please can we have a Tom Ford store in London?” quipped actor David Walliams.

Guy Ritchie comes in at number two, and according to Savile Row tailor Richard James: “He dresses incredibly well and is very elegant. Yet the real secret to his sartorial success is that he is still a little rough around the edges. This is what makes him a true gentleman geezer, a look only a Londoner can pull off.”

Says actor Matthew Horne of Mark Ronson: “It’s simple. Everything he wears just looks really good. He looks brilliant all of the time and I can’t think of anyone who looks better.”

The May issue of GQ hits newsstands this week.
